This Tuesday, Google opened up its social network Google+ to all who would like to join. Up until this point it has been by invitation only.
Google+ is Google’s response to Facebook.
The largest issue Google has to deal with is to persuade users who are active in other social networks to regularly use their service as well.
In order to make Google+ attractive to those users already comfortable with their current social networking site, Google added several new features this week.
Some of the addtions to the service include: Hangouts is now available on mobile phones also allowing people to broadcase Hangouts to any other us who wants to watch. A new search function was added to help users find people as well as posts and websites by topic.
